East Chatham Fire Company
  History
 



East Chatham Volunteer Fire Company (ECFC) was established in september of 1934. Coverage area includes a large portion of the eastern side of the town of Chatham and a large portion of the western part of the town of Canaan. For most structure related calls, ECFC responds with a "task force" of nearby companies including Canaan, New Lebanon and Red Rock. Occassionally ECFC works mutual aid to other areas  and receives mutual from other companies also. We also respond with the local rescue squads with certified first responders to emergency medical calls within our coverage district.
